When I first came across this book on Amazon's Kindle store so weirdly named Asian Men Problems: Solution for Taming Asian Stiff Puffy Side Hair, I immediately was intrigued and gravitated my mouse towards the "buy now" button. The title was captivating enough to spark my curiosity, and for such a low price, why the hell not. Did you ever come across the reddit or hair forum thread "What to do with poofy asian hair? Straight hair styling problems" and after searching through countless pages that never gave you an answer to the actual problem? Well I have and I'll say it now, it sucked! So I went ahead and proceeded to through the check out. Painlessly enough, like always, Amazon makes it easy for me to spend my hard earned cash because all it took was 2 clicks and my book purchase was already being transferred to my kindle. As I went to make myself a fresh brew of coffee, I silently prayed this is the answer to my hair problems. If I can find a way to control my sideburns from growing out like spikes from a porcupine, then this is the day I treat myself to a great dinner. I am going to eat whatever the fu*k I want today because starting tomorrow I am going to change my hairstyle, lose this god awful belly fat, and become "really, really, really good looking" like the guy on the cover.

So as I settled down with my nice hot brew, I whipped out my kindle, turned on some soft lighting and began my conquest into learning the secrets of Taming Stiff and Puffy Asian hair. I still chuckle every time I think about this awkward title. The author (Richard Gains) introduced this book to have a proven strategy in solving my hair issue and promised it will be a short read with a great solution to my Asian hair problems with some inspirational words of encouragement.

So I finished this incredibly short book. I would have to say I absolutely gained some new insight on controlling/styling my porcupine side burns. The book Asian Men Problems: Solution for Taming Asian Stiff Puffy Side Hair did indeed deliver on its promise.

My overall experience and opinion after reading this book is that it is a solid, no frills, informational guide. It won't win an pulitzers, but the content and experiences described inside is something that is relatable to me and probably most Asian guys outside of their "Motherland", I grudgingly admit.

So off I prepare to have a fattening, dear I say...my last fattening meal for a while. I plan to get my hair done and look really, really, really good looking starting tomorrow.

Do yourself a favor and buy this book if you have poofy Asian hair.
